A Facade Concert at Palazzo Monti in Brescia

At the invitation of Edoardo Monti, Artistic Director of Palazzo Monti, the vocal ensemble VOCALISE, under the artistic direction of Maria Craffonara, will present an extraordinary musical project in Brescia on 12 September 2026.

TABLEAU VIVANT goes far beyond the format of a traditional vocal concert. The singers will be positioned at the windows across the different floors of Palazzo Monti, transforming the building’s façade into a dynamic stage through choreographed movements and changes of position.

The performance will be further enriched by works by artist Elisa Grezzani. Her Flying Carpets will become part of the choreography, unfolding from the windows of the façade during the performance. The singers will also wear textile artworks created by the artist. The collaboration is presented in partnership with ECK Museum.

Following their highly successful collaboration on the project DEZEMBER, Kosovo-born cellist and vocalist Rina Kacinari, who is based in Vienna, will once again join the ensemble, contributing both on cello and with her voice.

The musical programme spans several centuries of European music history, from Claudio Monteverdi and Franz Schubert to Arvo Pärt. Multilingualism is another essential element of the project: VOCALISE will perform in the three official languages of South Tyrol – German, Italian and Ladin – as well as in French and Albanian.

TABLEAU VIVANT brings together music, voice, movement, textile art and architecture in a site-specific performance, making Palazzo Monti itself an integral part of the artistic experience.
