EXHIBITION FLOORS & WORKSPACES
The KunstGarage
The KunstGarage of the ECK Museum of Art is directly connected to the historic museum building and expands its exhibition spaces with a venue that can be programmed independently or together with the museum. It can be used both in connection with the museum and for separate presentations and events.
It presents both curated exhibition series and temporary exhibitions featuring contemporary positions by local and international artists. It offers young artists, graduates of art academies, as well as non-profit organizations and associations the opportunity to present their work, develop projects, and realize performative formats.
Information
The spaces in the annexe are housed in what used to be the Simma automobile garage – it is this past to which the name “Kunstgarage” refers. The father of the architect and designer, Benno Simma, was a mechanic in Bruneck, and his workshop was known as “Garage Simma”.
