The ECK Collective showcases work in two establishments: the Museum and the Kunstgarage. As platforms for the reception of regional and international art, they are dedicated to exhibiting as well as promoting and providing exposure for both young and established artists and their work. ECK sees itself as a dynamic place for encountering culture in the broadest sense; it fosters exchange and communication among artmakers and with their public.
In terms of its approach to the historical, particular attention is paid to appraising the collection and exhibits from the perspective of current issues. Works of contemporary art in tune with the times create contrast and a point of contact at the same time. The aim of the ECK is to be independent and open to all.
