Nora Gutwenger is an artist who works in the field of art and cultural education and uses a wide variety of production methods, media and objects in her work. As a versatile artist, she has enriched her portfolio with a range of site-specific artworks during her time in Vienna. The artist herself locates her work at the intersection of participation, performance and installation, with the location always taking precedence.

Two years ago, after 15 years of living abroad, the artist moved back with her family to her South Tyrolean home, the Puster Valley. Hide & Seek is the second work she has created since then. As in her previous work, Wald, wo bist du? (Forest, where are you?), which was on display at the Stadt Galerie Brixen in 2025, the artist reflects on the source of her inspiration in her new work: the forest of her childhood.
